![]() Over time, the platform grew into a rather more generic digital download store - but it never quite forgot that all-important “arcade” side of things. You can download the Ramjet 1.But then we had Xbox Live Arcade, which began its life as a digital download platform specifically for these short-form arcade-style experiences that no longer had a place at retail. Once wired up copy the ramjet files into the Model 2 emulator folder and run the Ramjet_vr program to se the pin outs within the program and leave the program running before running the emulator and daytona rom #6 purple =green vr (you can actually see on the photo this wire has snapped and needs soldering) ![]() ![]() There are 12 cables coming from the VR button board - 6 for switches and 6 for lights and the connector is labelled 1-12 The attached photo shows the pac drive board on the right and ipac board on the left I did it firstly just using normal illuminated switches but once I got hold of a real dash I just cut the cable coming from the VR button board and cabled it up directly to the pacdrive (for the lights) and to the ipac (for the switches) making a note of which pin they were cabled to ![]() The Ramjet VR is a little program written by a guy over on that works with the pacdrive from ultimarc that controls the lights of the VR buttons I'll update this thread over the coming months as the build continues I was quite pleased with the way it all hung together and realised how much fun the old style racers were to play so decided it was time to build the cabinet and add in some original controls I was using a Logitech momo wheel and pedals, happ 4 speed shifter, ipac and pac drive for buttons and lights I first wanted to work out whether technically I could get the emulators working with what I had and what I would need and also used just got a bunch of wood that was laying around (mostly decking boards) to get an idea of how it could all hang together ![]() Originally I was on the look out for a twin cab but when they come up they're always seem to be interstate (I'm based in Adelaide) and the cost of shipping was way too expensive I've always loved Daytona and other Sega driving games and have been following the emulation progress over the years for both model 2 and 3 games and so decided to build my own cabinet. ![]()
